December 28th, 2019 I lost my mother to cancer. 3 months later the world shut down and for the next year families were unable to say goodbye to their loved ones. Countless times I thought about how lucky we were to have had the opportunity to say goodbye. Death is part of the human experience and if we pass peacefully, surrounded by those we love, it's a gift. This is what inspired this photographic image.
